We live in a place and a time where everybody feels the need to opinionate ~ constantly it seems, on facebook and twitter. Sometimes I think the gadgets and electronics are sucking on our brains, asking for feedback. It seems to spill out in public life, too. But there's a good side to these things. Because it's more possible than ever to inform oneself. Today I'm attempting to study up on chives.
So well said as usual, dear Rouchswalwe. And, I won't ask why chives? I have a feeling that I might get the answer in one of your next posts.
Ah, I have discovered that chives go very well with Somen (a kind of Japanese chilled noodle). A wonderfully refreshing summer dish that goes very well with the authentic Dutch-imported Heineken that is once again available.
I must ask Kinya to refresh my memory as to some dish he served me involving noodles swimming in chilled broth made of fish powder or some such thing and orange slices added.Maybe orange instead of chives?
