I have 10 little gifts to make for people that are not part of my family. They are the loving volunteers who commit themselves for 12 months to work with people in need of special care. This year they hail from France, Germany and Canada and have become good friends of my Moselito. Only gifts from the heart will speak to them. It takes for ever to wrap love and gratitude and that's why I start so early to prepare my small gifts to them.

How wonderful! Wrapping love and gratitude does the heart good. I usually go by time zones. My mailing day to Japan was last week. This week, I mail to Europe, and next week to the States.
"It's the thought that counts" was an early lesson for me from my mom. You clearly understand that well.

That's lovely. I've seen quite a number of things among bloggers today, of people doing creative, heartfelt, home-made things for Christmas, it's really cheering.
