Adieu Georges Moustaki

 He lived what he sang.

" Nous avons toute la vie pour nous amuser - nous avons toute la mort pour nous reposer "

LE METHEQUE is my favorite of his songs (mayby because I was married to one).

Rouchswalwe!
Yes, "l'chaim" and the dancing light of a candle which will eventually go out.
Roderick R.!
I would yield to your wish if I were sure of what you want. More goodbyes or more French or?
French?

I love it! Hadn't heard this one before, many thanks for posting it Ellena. He's among my favourites of the chansonniers - like Jacques Brel, Brassens, etc.
And thanks too for ordering my book (via Lucy's mention), I'd love to hear what you think of it when you've received it.
Am putting you on my blogroll now.

Natalie!
It never crossed my mind that I would end up on your blog roll when I ordered the two books that Lucy recommended. I am honored, thank you.
The God Interviews are out of print at Lulu's. Amazon was ok with it and Blurb ok with the other. Both places promised mid-June arrival here. I can't wait.
Read your what is it 33.3% biography.
La suite svp. Very interesting and sometimes it felt as if I was(were) reading about myself, just a bit and not when you talk about your talents.
Keep your door open; I'll be visiting.

Ellena, you should have sent me an email, I would have sent you copies of both books immediately (and cheaper!). I must make that clearer on my blog. Lulu shouldn't say they're out of print because they can't be! They're a print on demand service and only print when copies are ordered.
I'm so glad you identified with some of my autobio - I can sense that we have much in common. A bientôt.

Natalie!
All is fine. If I remember well, after it showed out of print it gave the option to order 'to be printed'.
I did not want to wait and jumped to Amazon.
Next time I'll know better.
A la prochaine!
